Nicotine pouches (sometimes referred to as nicopods) are small pouches designed to sit between the lip and gum and contain nicotine - but no tobacco - they instead use a plant-based fiber. This is essentially a tobacco free version of the Swedish product ‘snus’. It's a discreet and smoke free way to enjoy nicotine.
Traditional snus is illegal to sell in the European Union - so nicotine pouches are in effect a way to offer users a similar product but adhering to EU regulations.
Nicotine pouches an increasing popular ‘smoke free’ way to consume nicotine - similar in some ways to vaping. Pouches come in a variety of flavours and strengths - and are placed between the users lip and gum for between 30 minutes and 1 hour to release the flavour and nicotine contents of the pouch.
Nicotine pouches vary in strength from anywhere between 3mg and 100mg per pouch to cater for users of varying tolerance - and also a range of flavours - from strong and minty to sweet and fruity.
Nicotine pouches are often used as an alternative to smoking - or a cessation aid. Why not read our beginner's guide to learn how to get started.
