This is my first review of a product from the 'LOOP' range produced by 'Another Snus Factory' of Sweden - so you know it's coming from a manufacturer who knows what they're doing. LOOP offer a range of interesting flavours a little different from the norm... I've tried LOOP pouches before - but not got around to reviewing any - so here we go -
Today I'm going to be looking at the 'Salty Ludicris' flavour from LOOP.
Loop Salty Ludicris is a salty liquorice and raspberry fusion.
The LOOP pouches come in a typical style can with waste disposal area at the top - but I really love the unique designs of the various flavours. The 'LOOP' logo varies across the whole range, and they have a cool, simple design. The labels also have an almost matte feel - which gives a feel of quality to the product.
Opening up the can the smell of liquorice is unmistakable - with sweet notes of fruity berry thrown into the mix. The pouches are nice and pillow like - they're not skinny - which I know a lot of people prefer - but personally I like a reasonably fluffy pouch. They are long and slim in format and sit comfortably in the mouth.
The flavour is certainly unique - it's not a combination I'd have come up for a dessert - let alone a nicotine pouch - so it's nice to try something new. The taste is very much as described - and I'm a big fan. It's a salty licorice base flavour with sweeter hints of berry making it a mild, interesting and very moor'ish flavour.
The pouches I got were 2/4 on LOOP's strength scale - putting them at 10mg/g. This is a little weak for my personal tastes - but the flavour is enough to have made me make short work of the can I received.
I'd highly recommend checking out the entire LOOP range - certainly if you're looking for a flavour outside the normal (my next LOOP review is for 'Jalapeño Lime'). They're also made to a fantastic quality, don't cause any gum irritation and you can comfortably use until the flavour runs dry after up to an hour.
If I can get my hands on some stronger pouches of the same flavour - the LOOP 'Salty Ludicris' could easily become a personal favourite.
