So one can I’ve had left at the back of the drawer for a while now is the Candy Shop 'Mountain Dew’ nicotine pouches. I’ve slowed worked my way through half a can so I thought it was about time for a review!
‘Candy Shop’ is a Russian nicotine pouch manufacturer - and you can read all our reviews here.
At 77mg/g of nicotine - these Candy Shop pouches pack quite a punch - a fair bit stronger than I’m used to - but I’m a huge ‘Mountain Dew’ fan so I had to try them out. Now these are far from official’ Mountain Dew products… and I’m sure there are copyright issues there… but I wanted to give them a go.
Opening the can the smell is remarkably like the well-known beverage - but with a sharper, slightly acidic background. The pouches themselves are long and thin (not fluffy pillows here) so are very long and slim in format. The green colour is interesting... but don't let it put you off!
The pouches from ‘Candy Shop’ have a pretty big initial punch - and that familiar ‘Mountain Dew’ taste is familiar… but somewhat overpowered - at least initially- with the strong nicotine hit
The nicopods offer a strong tingling sensation in the gums and a slight sense of effervescence you’d find with the drink bearing the same name.
The pouches are a little strong for me to use for any long period of time - but as I’ve found with stronger pouches - it’s a case of enjoying them until you’ve had your fill of nicotine. Now personally I enjoy a much weaker pouch I can keep in until the flavour is gone - but the benefit of the strong pouches is as well as packing a strong nicotine punch - they’re also bursting with flavour.
Now as is often the case when I cover high strength pouches - I wouldn’t recommend these to first-time users. However, for those of you out there that enjoy a strong nicotine hit - if you like ‘Mountain Dew’ - you’ll probably enjoy these pouches from ‘Candy Shop’.
