An Expansion in Focus - Snuff
So I started looking into nicotine pouches / nicopods when I was looking for a nicotine product that wasn’t damaging to the lungs - i.e ‘Smoke Free’.
In honesty I love tobacco - but after over a decade of smoking my lungs didn’t - so I started to look elsewhere.
Vaping originally took my away from traditional smoking - but it’s effects of the lungs - and the contents of the liquids themselves left me with some doubts .
Hence nicotine pouches / nicopods. They’re discreet, easy to use and importantly are smoke free - allowing me to enjoy nicotine without ruining my cardiovascular system for good.
I’m looking at smoke free alternatives to tobacco an old friend popped up on the radar - traditional nasal snuff. Now this is of course not tobacco free - but doesn’t involve inhaling the results of vaporisation or combustion so I thought it was worth taking another look.
I hadn’t done snuff since my teens (back when high street tobacconists were a thing in the UK) but only really a novelty as I think I saw it in some period drama!
As per my recent review - I’ve rediscovered snuff and am going to be writing a few more articles around the subject - mainly product reviews.
For those unfamiliar with nasal snuff - to quote from Wikipedia -
Snuff is a smokeless tobacco made from ground or pulverised tobacco leaves. It is inhaled or "snuffed" into the nasal cavity, delivering a swift hit of nicotine and a lasting flavoured scent (especially if flavouring has been blended with the tobacco).
So look forward to some more coverage of these products. They’re not to everyone’s taste - but in my opinion offer a ‘less dangerous’ (probably can’t say ‘safer’) alternative to smoking tobacco.
