A few months ago 77 released their new range of nicotine pouches, the ‘Dark Series’. I’m sad to say this is my eighth and final review on the series, but I have thoroughly enjoyed trying them all out and writing reviews on them all for you guys.
The new can has a sleek black design, with a purple 77 logo embezzled in the middle, surrounded by a purple circle around the edge of the lid. The side of the can provides information. The strength, saying “20mg”, “extra strong” and earning 5/5 on 77s strength rating.
The smell reminds me of Robinson’s blackcurrant squash, as does the taste. The pouches are fairly dry, which prevents the flavour running too much, but they have enough moisture to give you that familiar drip and allow you to taste it. I really like this flavour, and it’s now a part of my daily rotation, unless I have a can of 77 ‘Peach and Mint’ open. You can read my review on ‘Peach and Mint’ here.
The nicotine and flavour delivery is very good. The flavour hits after a couple of minutes, with the nicotine ‘buzz’ following shortly after. For me, the 20mg strengths is perfect and the feel of these pouches is true to its description (it feels like a 20mg pouch)
Overall, I would strongly recommend 77 ‘Blackcurrant. I haven’t seen many other blackcurrant pouches on the market, so if you enjoy trying new flavours this might be one for you to add to your collection.
You can buy 77 ‘Blackcurrant’, as well as all other flavours in the 77 collection here.
